HALLOWEEN GHOST STRAWBERRIES


It’s Halloween! How exciting!! Let me assume you are in that precise moment wanting a cute & healthy Halloween snack but you just don’t have much time and you don’t want to buy regular candy…

Well Your Daily Nutrients came just in time! Here I give you an option for a quick and very easy healthy Halloween snack!

STRAWBERRY GHOSTS! You only need 2 ingredients for this healthier Halloween snack recipe! White chocolate and strawberries. To make the eyes and mouth, you have the option of adding dark chocolate chips, or melting dark chocolate chips and draw a larger mouth and eyes (giving the ghost an even more realistic touch).

DIABETIC DIET TIP

It’s Halloween and eventually you’ll snack some candy…so I encourage you to avoid all that candy full of so much refined sugar, additives and hydrogenated fats and make your own candy instead! You can try these sweet potato cupcakes or these scary pretzels or the recipe on today’s post: Strawberry Ghosts!

I know, white chocolate is not as healthy as dark chocolate,BUT this is an option you can also enjoy in a moderate amount! Remember to always check your sugar levels first, so make sure your blood sugar is on the 70 mg/dL or about to drop in order to eat these! If you just eat 2 or so, you will be fine!

Remember, moderation is key! Take care of your blood sugar, it will be essential for your future!

INGREDIENTS

▪️1 cup or 150gr of good quality white chocolate
▪️Handful of organic strawberries
▪️Some dark chocolate chips for the eyes and mouth of the ghosts


STEPS

  1. Cover a tray with parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl, melt the white chocolate.

  3. With a teaspoon, draw a circle of 1 inch/2cm approximately and draw the ghost “tail”.

  4. Cover the strawberry and place it on top of the circle.

  5. Add the dark chocolate chips as eyes and mouth.

  6. Repeat the process for all the strawberries and place the tray in the fridge.


* Keep them refrigerated.

Aquí tenéis: Fantasmas de Halloween hechos con fresas y chocolate blanco! Muy fáciles y divertidos de hacer!

Si no tenéis tiempo de preparar algún snack sano, y no queréis recurrir a comprar los típicos caramelos y chocolates del supermercado, llenos de azúcares, grasas hidrogenadas y aditivos. Esta es una opción bastante buena (podéis cambiar el chocolate blanco por chocolate negro si queréis una versión más sana).

INGREDIENTES

▪️1 taza o 150gr de chocolate blanco de buena calidad
▪️Un puñado de fresas ecológicas
▪️Algunas pepitas de chocolate negro para hacer los ojos y la boca de los fantasmas

PASOS

  1. Cubrir una bandeja con papel de horno.

  2. En un bol, derretir el chocolate blanco.

  3. Con una cucharita, dibujar circles de 2cm aproximadamente y dibujarles la “cola” del fantasma.

  4. Cubrir una fresa con chocolate blanco y colocarla encima de un circulo.

  5. Añadir los ojos y la boca con las pepitas de chocolate negro.

  6. Repetir el proceso para todas las fresas y dejar la bandeja en la nevera hasta que se endurezcan.

* Conservar en la nevera.
