I wanted to share with you this healthy alternative to use as a sweetener: DATE PASTE.

Do you like dates? I honestly don’t like them much…! But I wanted to try to make a date paste and use it as a sweetener in some recipes!

A natural and healthy alternative to add sweetness to some desserts/cookies/cakes…even to spread on a toast or yogurt if you really like the taste by itself!

DIABETIC DIET TIP

This healthy alternative to add sweetness is another great option to use for desserts!

Since it’s a natural ingredient, just dates, it will nourish your body as well as giving you sweet taste. The glycemic índex is not bad, it’s still a fruit so you cannot abuse consumption.

I wouldn’t recommend eating this healthy date paste by itself but to use it on some recipes, like I am going to. I say this because it’s better to combine the date paste with other macronutrients like fats or protein so to make sure you don’t have a sugar spike!

INGREDIENTS

  • 350gr pitted dates

  • 180ml water


STEPS

  1. Soak dates in water for 1-2 hours.

  2. Rinse and pour in a food processor. Add the 180ml of water and blend until smooth.

  3. Transfer in an air tight container and keep in the fridge for 1 week.

Bueno hace tiempo que quería probar de hacer una pasta de dátiles para usarla como opción para endulzar algunos postres. Reconozco que no soy muy fan del dátil, no me gusta su sabor! Pero hay muchas personas que les encanta así que quería tener esta opción para vosotros!

Esta semana voy a experimentar con ella y os colgaré recetas! Por supuesto no lleva gluten, ni lácteos, ni azúcares refinados o añadidos y es vegana!

Una opción para endulzar de manera súper natural!

INGREDIENTES

  • 350gr de dátiles deshuesados

  • 180ml de agua


PASOS

* TENÉIS UN VIDEO CON LOS PASOS MÁS ARRIBA EN ESTA PÁGINA O HACIENDO CLICK AQUÍ.

  1. Remojar los dátiles con agua durante 1-2 horas.

  2. Escurrir y poner en una procesadora de alimentos o trituradora. Triturar hasta que quede una pasta suave.

  3. Verter en un recipiente hermético de cristal y dejar en la nevera durante 1 semana.
